Super Bowl 50 will live stream all ads for first time

For the first time, CBS will air the same Super Bowl 50 commercials on live stream as TV, according to a news release. Previously, the air time was sold separately. This year, CBS is seeking more than $4.5 million for a 30-second spot according to buyers. Last year, NBC secured about $4.5 million for a 30-second spot.

In the past, marketers could pay just for the live stream advertising spots versus the overly pricey TV spots. In case you’re wondering, the TV crowd still draws over 114 million viewers compared to just 800,000 live stream viewers in 2014.
